Welcome to Meraki Art! My journey started overseas in Czech Republic where I was born. I grew up on a multi-generational family homestead where I first began making bouquets with my grandmother which she would then sell at the farmers markets in the early mornings.

 

I went on to Major in Art in college, specializing in ceramic, porcelain and glass painting. I moved to the US 6 years later with a young son and a dream, but no means to accomplish it. Throughout the years I've worked many jobs to attain my dream; bartending, catering or delivery driving. I've freelanced at a florist shop; I even started a small cleaning business with my daughter in law. I began offering floral arrangements to my clients for any occasion ranging from Elaborate Weddings or Private Baby showers to a simple Valentine's Day bouquet.  After doing this for quite some time out of my small apartment I outgrew the space and needed to get my own shop. I finally decided to go for it, I had gained the confidence and the drive, now all that was left was to take the leap and see what would happen.

I've always been passionate about the outdoors and enjoy incorporating natures gifts into my work. Often you will find things such as driftwood and moss in my arrangement, making them more unique and whimsical.
